MAKING A PAYMENT, PAYING YOUR RENT

You are responsible for paying your rent and service/sewerage charge (if applicable). Your tenancy agreement or annual rent notification letter tells you how much rent you should pay. Rent is due on the 4th of each month, in advance.  E.g. Rent paid on the 4th Jan is for 4th Jan - 3rd Feb.

More information

Our Rent Arrears Policy explains how Henley and District Housing Trust supports tenants who may be struggling to pay their rent or service charges, and how we manage missed payments fairly and consistently.

We understand that people can fall behind with payments for many reasons, including changes to benefits, loss of employment, illness, bereavement, money worries or other personal circumstances. We will take a sensitive approach and work with tenants to understand their situation and agree the right support where possible.

The policy also explains the steps we may take to recover money owed, while making sure decisions are made fairly and on a case-by-case basis.
